Old Dog Found Lying In A Drain Unable To Move

 

An elderly dog who had become stuck in a drain was rescued by Animal Aid Unlimited after they received a call about him.

In an attempt to get some relief from the discomfort, the older child had passed out in a sewer drain. From his sizable wound, maggots started exploding.

The dog had an extensive wound on his back, was arthritic, and was almost toothless.

They carefully extracted the poor man from the drain to transport him to the veterinary clinic because he was in excruciating pain and was elderly and frail.

As a remedy for the maggot problem, they gave painkillers and an IV.

They were relieved to see the dog eating, and to see that in a matter of weeks, his wound was totally healed.

He wouldn't have had long to live if he had been left alone.
