Repeatedly abandoned due to its disfigurement, a dog finally finds hope when a woman recognizes and appreciates its true beauty

Beauty is not strongly correlated with physical attributes. We all look pretty much the same when you turn us inside out. Our inner beauty is what matters most.

Some others in Lucky's life, nevertheless, were unable to see beyond what they initially perceived. And that was a disgrace!

Lucky was born with a significant facial malformation. Before being turned over to a shelter, he was born in a puppy mill. It was challenging to locate a home for him. They couldn't believe what they saw as they took a quick glimpse at him.

Even though Lucky was eventually adopted, he was mistreated horribly by each household as he was bounced about from one to the next. His first family in Austin always kept him outside because he didn't get along with their animals. To a tree, Lucky was tethered.

He lacked a secure place to sleep and a sufficient supply of food. He was forgotten and disregarded. The affection Lucky so dearly deserved was never shown to him.

The family made the decision to give Lucky up before they moved. Even the idea of taking him along was rejected. It was obvious that Lucky was not a family member.

After being adopted once more, Lucky's new family quickly stopped caring for him. The unfortunate Lucky dog was anything but lucky.

Then, something on social media occurred that totally altered everything! A volunteer at the shelter drove Lucky to the groomer. The volunteer uploaded pictures of a perfectly coiffed Lucky, and a friend of the volunteer named Jamie Hult saw those pictures. She had a burning desire to meet Lucky right now! She even wished she could take Lucky in right away!

I immediately got in touch with the owner and told him I wanted the dog because it just so happened to be someone from my dog rescue network. Jamie told iHeartdogs, "I want to adopt that dog; I don't want to foster it."

Lucky was in poor condition and needed extensive veterinary care, which was unfortunate. Heartworms and fleas infested him. Moreover, he was underweight. Jamie, on the other hand, didn't seem to care. She wouldn't think twice about opening her wallet—and her heart—to get him.

Although Lucky had a long path ahead of him, with outstanding medical care, he made a full recovery!

His new residence, way of life, and identity all came with a new name. Toxicity Tox!

"Beaux Tox is his moniker because he obviously requires botox, which is OK. In all of its forms, we respect beauty. Because the costs associated with owning a dog are so high, I don't get botox.

Jamie possesses just the mindset and approach Beaux needs! Don't you believe?

A year has passed since their happy marriage. Now a young, healthy guy leading a nice life, Beaux. No more nights spent alone in shelters, days spent chained to trees, or criticism based on his appearance—only LOVE for this adorable pooch!
